Kate's Paperie

As you know, we have made a huge leap and moved to New York. Moving is always challenging and can be stressful. But, I am happy to say that we are settled in our new apartment and I'm loving it. After much debate, we decided to leave all of our belongings behind in storage in Birmingham. Moving from a two story home to a loft apartment is an adjustment in and of itself, but the challenge has been exciting.

There is something so freeing about starting over. We came here with four suitcases and are loving living minimally. Through the process of "downsizing" I am reminded once again that we, as Americans, have way to much. This space is all that we really need...this place is home.
Over the course of the next weeks and I am sure months, I will give you an inside look into life in a studio! I have truly enjoyed having a new canvas and decorating on a budget. It can be done and look just as good.

The other day I was wondering around the city and found this beautiful paper shop in Soho. Kate's Paperie is a wonderland of gorgeous paper, stationary, cards, and gifts. In a effort to save money, I bought several sheets of beautiful paper (poster size) for $12 total and have framed them as art in our apartment. Here are a few of the stunning pieces the store has to offer.

Check out the website and you can order online.
See you soon!
